Creative Grids Tools Used:

• *Stripology XL or Stripology Squared for cutting strips and strip set units quickly, easily, and accurately.
• *Stripology Squared Mini, 4 in 1 HST, Seam Guide tool or CGR6 for squaring HST

Fabrics:

• Light Solid                             2 yards
• Medium                                2 1/4 yards
• Dark                                       1 1/2 yards
• Light Small-Scale Print      2 1/4 yards
• Outer Border                       1 1/4 Yard (Medium works well)
• Binding                                  2/3 yard
• Backing                                 8 1/4 yards OR 2 ¾ yards 108” backing

The most important thing to remember when choosing fabrics is CONTRAST. All of the fabric must stand on its own when placed by the other fabrics. For the best result, if a fabric blends in when placed by another fabric, choose another fabric.

Several kits are available at the retreat using 1930s, 1880s, baby mix, pastels, brights, etc. Please contact the shop (336-258-8383) to preorder by March 22. Kits include the pattern and fabric for the quilt top and binding. Individual patterns are $15.
