LAST Beginning Paper Piecing Class of the Year!

Beginning Paper Piecing Instructor Carl Stevens

Our last Beginning Paper Piecing class of the season is Saturday, September 8, 10 am – 2 pm. Carl will be returning to Florida for the winter months soon, and it will be April before he will be back teaching with us.

You've quilted a little — or a lot — and now you want to learn the fine art of Paper Piecing.

This introductory class to paper piecing is based on Judy Neimeyer's pattern, Desert Sky. Students will learn the foundations of paper piecing and will walk away with the knowledge of how to piece the center of a New York Beauty, as well as Flying Geese on a curve!

Award winning paper piecing quilter, Carl Stevens, will teach students how to "think backwards" and overcome the challenges of paper piecing. This class is intended for individuals with at least a minimum of basic quilting skills.

Carl began quilting five years ago. He jumped right into paper piecing and hasn’t looked back since! Carl’s quilts have won awards in quilt shows in Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida, Elkin, Sparta, Ashville, and West Jefferson, North Carolina, and Floyd and Wytheville, Virginia.
