Practical Stripology
Which Stripology tool is the right fit for you? All of them! The more you use them, the more you will fall in love with them and depend on them in your quilting journey.
Students will make a Stars on a Yellow Brick Road quilt based on the Yellow Brick Road quilt pattern. Our variation incorporates various star blocks to further practice using the Stripology tools.
Class includes quilt pattern and book. Supply list will be provided after sign up.
Students will learn to:
- Adapt non-Stripology patterns for Stripology use – trust me, it’s easy peasy!
- Quickly and accurately cut strips from fat quarters and yardage, as well as sub-cut strip units for block construction.
- Make your own pre-cuts (2 ½” strips, 5” squares, 10” squares)
- Step-by-step how to efficiently cut out parts for the Yellow Brick Road quilt.
- Sub-cut strip sets for block units.
- Make and square up half-square triangles and hourglass units.
- Cut and prepare bias binding.
