Travel Iron Tote



Need a small pressing mat to use beside your machine or take to quilting classes? How about a tote to pack up a hot travel iron?

You can have both in a cute Travel Iron Tote that opens up to make a heat resistant pressing mat then folds back up into a tote for a small travel iron.

Supplies needed

  • Pattern (includes heat resistant fabric)
  • ½ yd Exterior fabric
  • ¼ yd Contrasting fabric for  binding
  • ½ yd Insul-Brite
  • 2 buttons (approx. 3/4 “ -1”)
  • Rotary cutter, mat and uler (12 inch is big enough)
  • Pencil
  • Fabric scissors
  • The usual: sewing machine in good working condition (remember power cord & foot pedal!), thread, needles (size 14 or 16), pins, thread snips, seam ripper.
