Instructor Bio: Surry County native, Lorene McCann Fleming, started making doll clothes with a needle and thread around 4-5 years old. She started making clothes on her mother's treadle sewing machine at 9-10 years old. As a senior in high school, Lorene even made bridesmaid dresses for her and her sister for a cousin's wedding. While she enjoys making quilts, Lorene often prefers to make bags, wall hangings, and other small projects.
